Guidelines for Organizations
Thank you for choosing Blue Star Moms to support. It's thoughtful people like you that make it possible for us to send care packages to our brave troops. We appreciate the time and effort it takes to organize a donation drive and would like to share a few guidelines to help with your success.
Please contact our care package chairmom before you start your project to discuss current needs.

Food items must be in UNOPENED boxes and packages.
Please check expiration dates and only purchase items that will be good after our mailing date. We mail care packages in June for July 4th, and in early December for Christmas. We also mail small shipments throughout the year as needed. Please see our calendar for packing days. We would like to receive items at least two weeks prior to packing day. All other donations are welcome at any time.
We prefer to receive items unopened, in the original package, and simply delivered in bags or boxes.
If you will be packing your own boxes, we ask that you leave the top of the box opened. You will also need to provide the postage. We can extend our discount to you from the post office. We will tape the boxes closed and provide the mailing labels as well as deliver the packages to the post office for mailing. You will only need to deliver the packed and opened boxes to us along with a check written to Blue Star Moms for the indicated amount of postage.
We are happy to provide you a receipt for tax purposes. We will need a personal name or name of the organization or company, a mailing address and approximate value of the items donated.
However you choose to organize your fundraiser, no matter how big or how small, we appreciate it from the bottom of our Blue Star Hearts.
